Beach View Hotel & Villas is a contemporary aparthotel spread across five acres of manicured grounds in Barbados. Accommodation is spacious and features modern kitchenettes, making this resort ideal for those who are seeking a ‘home away from home’ experience in the Caribbean. This family-run hotel boasts several pristine swimming pools as well as a small spa, gym and salon.
Set in a prime location on the west coast of Barbados, the resort sits just across the road from the beach. The stunning waters of Paynes Bay are under half a mile away; and the second largest town on the island, Holetown, can be reached in under two and half miles. Here you’ll find plenty of bars and restaurants – as well as many designer boutiques. Grantley Adams International Airport is 14 and a half miles from the hotel.
The accommodation comprises of a selection of stylish rooms, suites and villas. They are all decorated in neutral tones, enhanced by tropical themed artwork and colourful soft furnishings. All feature a modern kitchenette, living and dining area and private terrace or balcony. Suites and Villas are more like studios and come with either one, two or three bedrooms. Kitchens are fully equipped and outfitted with dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Luxury Suites boast Caribbean Sea views from the patio, although you can often hear some traffic noise outdoors. You can also opt for a grocery pre-stocked room for the ultimate convenience and top up your fridge with items from The Hut – the handy on-site mini mart.

Beach View boasts four attractive swimming pools which are spread throughout the property. The main garden pool offers fantastic ocean views and is surrounded by garden landscapes. There is also a separate shallow pool for children here, offering plenty of water toys and floats. You’ll find a further two infinity edge pools – one conveniently located next to the restaurant and bar, and another which offers a more secluded atmosphere with a spacious sundeck. All pools are surrounded by umbrellas and sun loungers, so that you can comfortably relax by the poolside.
If you’re feeling energetic, the hotel provides Aquacise classes and yoga sessions for a supplementary fee. Otherwise, there’s a small gym on site, which is equipped with treadmills, free weights, an elliptical machine and stationary exercise bike. During your stay, you can also indulge at the Elite Salon & Spa, which offers a luxurious selection of treatments and spa packages. Book a soothing full body massage, a hot sugar body polish or a revitalising facial. Fully trained staff offer salon services, too: from hairdressing to eyelash extensions, and hand and foot rituals.
The Hut is the place to go to purchase a selection of snacks, refreshments and even groceries. They sell water sports equipment and beach gear; and you can hire umbrellas and chairs to take to the beach across the road.
A helpful concierge team is available in the main reception building. They can assist you with planning any excursions or tours around the island. In the reception area, you'll also find a selection of books and board games to borrow. If you have a later departure, you can use the shower facilities in this building.

Sugar Apple Restaurant serves tasty international cuisine; it has a full bar and also provides pool service. The restaurant offers continental and a la carte options at breakfast, including omelettes, pancakes and savoury croissants. Lunch consists of salads, sandwiches, pizzas and other simple items (you can also takeaway pizza). Dinner comprises a small but delicious a la carte menu (and wine list), with two or three specials changing on a weekly basis. They run a local style barbeque buffet on Monday nights for a set price and a three-course brunch special on Sundays.
Don’t miss the nightly happy hour and the weekly Manager’s Cocktail Party, which provide the perfect opportunity to socialise over fresh rum cocktails.
