Dover Beach Hotel offers a quiet, intimate quiet stay along the pristine beachfront of Dover Beach in Barbados. It’s a simple and affordable hotel, boasting an ideal location adjacent to Maxwell Beach. Accommodation is spacious, and most types include a full kitchenette – ideal for self-catering. The hotel is home to a relaxing freshwater pool and a vast sundeck, overlooking the aquamarine Caribbean Sea, in addition to an on-site spa and restaurant.
This family-run hotel is situated in a quiet location on the popular south coast of Barbados. From here, you can walk less than half a mile to reach plenty of bars, shops and restaurants, as well as the bustling St Lawrence Gap. You can easily tee off at Barbados Golf Club less than five miles away or explore Bridgetown, the island’s historical capital, six miles away. Grantley Adams International Airport is just over seven miles away.
Accommodation is spread across three colourful buildings. All rooms feature ceramic tile flooring and basic wood or wicker furnishings. The bursts of colour and patterns in the soft furnishings and artwork create a cosy feel, but the aesthetic could be considered slightly dated. Standard amenities include a flat-screen, cable TV, iron with ironing board as well as a private balcony or patio. Most rooms (excluding Standard Rooms) include fully equipped kitchenettes with a four-burner stovetop, cookware, microwave, fridge and tableware. If you’re looking for additional space and privacy, One Bedroom rooms provide separate bedroom and living space. For the best views, choose an Ocean View Studio which faces the alluring Caribbean Sea.

Lush plants and towering palm trees create ample shade, and there’s a small bar close by, serving creative cocktails and tropical refreshments. The oceanfront terrace is the perfect spot to unwind; from here watch glorious sunsets, feel the gentle sea breeze and hear the waves crashing against the rocks below. You can access the sandy beach from here, although the hotel does not supply seating on the beachfront, and sea conditions are not always suitable for swimming.
During your stay, don’t forget to fully pamper yourself at the relaxing Be-You-Tiful spa, which offers a range of treatments that include massages, body wraps and manicures. Free Wi-Fi access is also available in all public areas and rooms and there’s an internet station located in the lobby, so you can easily research things to do nearby.
