Early seat booking policy

Book a seat

Illustration of seat booking

To improve your in-flight comfort and allow you to sit with your family and travel companions, we offer the possibility of choosing your seat earlier and at a much better price than at the airport. Check the conditions here, depending on the cabin class you wish to fly in.

You can request your seat from the time you buy your ticket, or later from Booking management, at Online check-in

Business

When you travel in Iberia Business Plus, Business Club or Business Class you can choose your seat early, free of charge, from the time you place the booking and without having to have your ticket issued.

Economy XL seats

You can reserve Economy XL seats on our Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional Air Nostrum flights, which give you more space for enhanced comfort. These seats are located at the aircraft emergency exits, so to sit there you must be capable of working with the crew in emergency situations and meet a number of requirements.

Special requirements for emergency seats

You can reserve an XL seat when you book your flight, for a fee. If you don’t know your ticket conditions, find out at Booking Management.

Not all seats in the emergency exit rows are XL (they don’t all have extra space) and their prices vary. Please keep this in mind to choose the seat you really want.
