Enjoy the many sides of a Mykonos holiday

Mykonos presents the opportunity to see the many sides of the Greek islands. A party hotspot it may be, but look beyond this and you’ll find a beautiful historic island. A calmer pace can be found among the labyrinthine old town, the picturesque harbour and the stunning beaches.

Bask in the contrasting architecture of medieval Mykonos Town and the Cycladic cubism on offer everywhere else on the island. Mykonos’ trademark windmills are a wonderful glimpse of the past, as is the beautiful Paraportiani Church in Little Venice. Amongst all the photogenic landmarks, you will find boutique shops, chic bistros and fashionable bars. Hop on a water taxi to some of the brilliant beaches around the south and east of the island. Or take a day trip to Delos Island to sample some ancient history and archaeological treasures.

Mykonos Town (Chora)

Mykonos town (Chora) is one of the nicest towns in all of the Greek islands, and the largest on Mykonos. Situated on the west coast of the island, you will find great shops, high-end boutiques and restaurants. All surrounded by beautiful whitewashed houses and picturesque churches. The street layout was engineered to confuse pirates, so expect to amble for hours around the winding maze of streets. It is also the town where you will find all the best bars and clubs, and is known as the ‘Ibiza of Greece’ to many partygoers during the summer season.
