Travelling between terminals at London Heathrow? Follow the purple signs

Check which terminal your onward flight is departing from, and if that is a different terminal to the one you landed in, just follow the purple ‘Flight Connections’ signs to your next terminal and onward flight.

  • There are purple connections buses which will take you to your new terminal.
  • The recommended minimum transfer times if travelling between terminals is 90mins.

Do I need to collect my baggage?

If your baggage has been labelled through to your onward flight from Heathrow, you don’t have to collect your baggage at the terminal you arrive into.

I don't have my onward flights boarding pass

  • Follow the purple sign to Flight Connections and if your flight is with another airline make your way to the correct terminal for that airline. Once there, speak to a representative of that airline who will be able to help you.
  • If your next flight is with British Airways, speak to one of our members of staff at Flight Connections.

Can I leave the airport?

  • We strongly recommend that if you wish to leave the airport, you should allow a minimum of 6 hours between flights.
  • If you choose to leave, it is your responsibility to ensure you have all the appropriate documents required to enter into the UK and clear border security.
