Fly to Doha with British Airways and discover a city of contrasts, where the ancient meets the startlingly new. Flights to Doha take you to the heart of this thriving business centre.
Leisure time can be divided between the traditional souks and glamorous new shopping malls - while the centuries-old Souq Waqif’s olde-worlde-style refurbishment is an interesting mixture of the two. The cultural calendar is also blossoming, with venues such as Doha’s Exhibition Centre, Katara Drama Theatre and even a Film Institute being good starting points for a taste of Middle Eastern art, music and film, while the Aspire Dome (the world’s largest multi-purpose venue of its kind) hosts sporting events and visiting entertainment such as Cirque du Soleil.
British Airways flights to Doha (DOH) from London Heathrow (LHR) take 8 hours and 35 minutes, including a short stop in nearby Bahrain. There is no daylight saving time operating in Qatar, so Doha is on London time plus 2 hours in summer, and plus 3 hours in winter.
Flights to Doha on British Airways give you a choice of cabin – World Traveller, World Traveller Plus, Club World and First – as well as access to London Heathrow Terminal 5, standout winner in the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2012. But British Airways does so much more: with our flights Doha becomes a great value option for a unique city break stopover.
British Airways Doha flights offer a straightforward one-stop connection to Qatar’s capital from elegant Terminal 5 at Heathrow, in 8 hours and 35 minutes. During 2013 Doha International Airport is due to be replaced by Hamad International, already completed nearby with wave-styled roof, eco-friendly settings of desert plants and a suspended monorail linking the terminal buildings.
Direct flights to Doha land at Doha International Airport, located less than five miles east of the city centre. From 2013, flights will switch to the new Hamad International Airport, situated alongside the current airport. From either, choose from the fleets of taxis and limousines ready to drive you into and around the city – or, for maximum ease, charter your own car with driver. A metro system is due to be started this year and is set for completion by 2020.
Whether you land at Doha international or the new Hamad International, all Doha flights benefit from extensive duty free shopping and dining facilities within each terminal building, offering a range of international brands and outlets (including alcohol). Business and First passengers have access to lounges with WiFi, shower facilities and complimentary food and drinks.
