Is it easy to get around Tenerife?

Mid season

Airport information

Tenerife South Airport (TFS) is the main international airport on the island, and is located in Granadilla de Abona, about 60km south of the capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife. There are various bus and shuttle options that will take you to popular resorts or you can easily pre-book an airport transfer to your hotel. The airport is only a 10-minute drive from the famous Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje resorts on the south coast of the island.

Tenerife weather

Tenerife is nice to visit all year round – though it’s cooler and wetter from November to March. There are microclimates in the mountains, where the weather can change from hour to hour. The south of Tenerife is said to have more settled weather – at least according to the people who live there. People who live in the north will protest that their weather is often just as nice.
