Flights to Glasgow

A flight from London Heathrow, London Gatwick or London City airports to Glasgow Airport takes around one hour and 35 minutes.

To avoid higher prices and crowds, book a trip for late spring or early autumn, when cheaper flights and quieter attractions are more likely. 

You can take the shuttle or local bus from the airport into Glasgow, or a taxi straight to your hotel. They’re available outside the airport terminal, and it takes about 15 minutes to reach the city centre.

Once you’ve ticked off the history and interesting architecture on offer, think about exploring neighbourhoods away from the centre like Merchant City and Finneston – they’re both packed with cafes and independent shops. Citizens of the UK and Ireland and EU passport holders do not need a visa to visit. If you hold a passport from a country or territory outside of these areas, you may need to apply for a visa before you travel.
