Gibraltar’s fusion of British and Spanish cultures and its appealing choice of affordable food and shopping makes this coastal city an interesting option for a beach holiday. And you don't necessarily need to spend all your time on the rock itself – the Spanish border is under 10 minutes walk from Gibraltar airport, where beyond you’ll find the beaches of the Costa del Sol and the province of Cadiz. A ferry service also connects Gibraltar with a port near the Moroccan city of Tangier, a voyage that lasts 80 minutes.

Gibraltar airport is linked to the city centre by buses 3 and 9. Services depart every 10 minutes and the journey usually takes 15 minutes or less.
