Set within its own lagoon, Huvafen Fushi is a pristine island resort in the Maldives. It’s home to the world's only underwater spa which converts to an impressive undersea dining venue, an underground wine cellar with rare vintages and a popular diving centre. While this resort appeals to adult couples, it also offers a family friendly infinity pool, a parent-supervised kids’ corner and a range of accommodation – all of which have a private plunge pool.
Huvafen Fushi sits on a secluded, natural island in the Maldives’ North Male Atoll, encircled by crystal-clear lagoons and a white sand beaches. From the island, you can access the breathtaking house reef, where you can spot diverse marine wildlife. You can also explore some of the most incredible dive sites in Maldives with the resort’s dedicated dive team. The island is around 30 minutes from Male International Airport by speedboat.
The contemporary bungalows and pavilions are decorated in a minimalist style with large floor-to-ceiling windows, polished hardwood floors, wooden ceilings and modern furnishings. Each bungalow has a private outdoor area, freshwater plunge pool and dedicated thakuru butler service. Deluxe Beach Bungalows sit directly on the white sands, boasting two outdoor areas and two separate pools. You can also stay above the water in a Lagoon or Ocean Bungalow, which are situated on a long overwater jetty, affording maximum privacy. Ocean Bungalows boast a glass floor in the living area and a split-level sun deck with a dining area, plunge pool and direct reef access.

Trained divers can take you to numerous dive sites to spot manta rays, reef sharks, sea turtles and shoals of tropical fish.
Spend lazy afternoons on a daybed around the infinity-edged pool that overlooks the Indian Ocean, or retreat to the impressive spa’s overwater or underwater treatment rooms. You can book a variety of massages, facial treatments and full-body therapies for a supplementary charge, including specialist treatments by Beata Aleksandrowicz. The state-of-the-art spa also features an overwater fitness centre and a yoga pavilion with complimentary yoga classes in the morning, six days a week. In the evenings, live entertainment is offered on select days of the week.
The resort participates in coral reef rehabilitation projects and works closely with sustainable, local businesses.
