Andorra is home to several excellent and varied resorts. It has been extremely popular with skiers for decades and with good reason – a great snow record, its own unique style and a wealth of attractions make Andorra a fantastic proposition.
Ski in Andorra and enjoy plenty of gentle slopes, excellent tax-free shopping and diverse après ski. We have hotels close to Soldeu, Pas de la Casa and Arinsal – Andorra’s three main resorts. The modern lift system makes it easy to explore the slopes from these resorts. Andorra is also a great destination for families, with excellent ski schools on offer. Off the slopes, all the main ski towns have a fantastic après ski atmosphere. Friendly, laid back restaurants welcome families, while lively bars and clubs ensure you can ski all day and party into the night. Alternatively, if you want to shop to your heart’s content, Andorra la Vella has countless stores offering goods at low prices.
The resorts of Pas de la Casa and Arinsal are best for beginners, as these two are home to great ski schools. Start on the easy nursery slopes and progress onto the gentle, long runs.
Soldeu offers access to the impressive Grandvilara ski area, with miles of smooth pistes and beautiful views. Build up your confidence east of Espiolet, then ski the whole mountain. Snowboarding here is fantastic – the best place in the Pyrenees – and a great place to learn.
A day trip to Arcalis has superb expert terrain and thrilling off-piste snow. Snowboarding experts will find it a joy but should also head to Soldeu’s terrain park and enjoy jumps and a half pipe.
Soldeu offers a kid’s circuit with themed runs, and kindergartens at mid-mountain stations. Pas de la Casa has similar facilities, as does Arinsal. You’ll also find plenty of English-speaking ski instructors in the ski schools.
Off the slopes, a main draw in Andorra is the tax-free shopping. Delicious food and wine, electrical gadgets and perfume are all popular purchases. Whilst here, be sure to explore the pretty historic streets and walk along the riverside.Andorra’s ski resorts offer plenty of variety when eating out. From simple, fun offerings like burgers, pizzas and Mexican food, to traditional Andorran cuisine to quail and foie gras at top fine-dining restaurants. Your hotel will help you choose the perfect place for you.
