Flights from London Gatwick (LGW) to Palermo Falcone–Borsellino Airport (PMO) take three hours. Our twice-weekly flights are on Tuesday and Saturday, arriving in Palermo, the island’s capital, on the northern coast of Sicily. Depending on which airport you chose to fly to, you will either be arriving in Palermo in the north, or Catania on the eastern coast. Transport from Palermo Falcone–Borsellino Airport to Palermo is simple. You can take the bus, which takes 55 minutes and costs €6 to the centre. Or you can get a cab for approximately €40, which takes 35 minutes door to door. If you fly into Catania–Fontanarossa Airport you can get the bus to the centre, which takes only 20 minutes and costs the local fare (€1). Taxis wait outside the terminal and will take you to Catania centre for €20, taking 15 minutes.
