Tier Points are the key to unlocking the benefits of the Club. The more you collect by flying with us and our oneworld® airline partners the further you’ll move through the tiers.

You earn Tier Points every time you fly with us, our subsidiaries and our oneworld airline partners, giving you a greater choice and flexibility when choosing who to fly with.
Almost all flights award Tier Points. The only exceptions are reward flights, agency and industry discounted fares and flights with an airline that is not part of oneworld.
|Airlines that award Tier Points|

|Qatar||Royal Jordanian||S7 Airlines||SUN-AIR of Scandinavia|
There are two ways to see how many Tier Points a particular flight will give you:
The number of Tier Points you earn on a flight depends on the route, operating airline, class of travel and ticket type. In general, longer flights in premium cabins award more Tier Points.
Discounted economy fares earn 50% of the standard Tier Points for any given flight — these are usually the fares shown when searching for the lowest price ticket types. To find flights that award full Tier Points, search for flexible ticket types instead.

You can earn Tier Points with British Airways and our oneworld and other airline partners, which gives you more opportunities to reach the next tier.

BA flights are:
Reward flights and agency or industry discounted bookings do not qualify.
Once you earn enough Tier Points for the next membership tier, you'll be awarded that status straight away. It lasts for the rest of your current membership year and for the full following membership year — unless you reach the next tier in the meantime.
For instance, if you start your membership year as a Blue Member and earn 300 Tier Points, you'll become a Bronze Member with all of the benefits.
You will continue to earn Tier Points when you fly and if you reach 600 within the same year, you'll become a Silver Member.
Once your Tier Points reset to zero at the end of your membership year — the anniversary of when you joined — you will stay as a Silver Member for the next membership year.
Yes, Tier Points last for one membership year before being reset to zero on your membership year-end date, which is the anniversary of the date you joined the Club.
Your membership year-end date is shown on your account page:
It’s really important that you remember to add your Club membership number every time you make a booking so that your Tier Points are automatically added once you have flown. Tier Points for British Airways flights are normally credited soon after your flight but Tier Points for other carriers may take up to four weeks to be processed.
If for any reason you believe Tier Points (or Avios) are missing, you may be able to claim them back within 6 months, providing you still have the ticket number.
In addition, new Members can claim for British Airways flights flown up to three months before joining.
If you can’t find your ticket number, don’t worry — you can contact us or call your local Service Centre and they’ll be able to help you.
