You can unwind around three outdoor pools, including a large lagoon pool, a lap-style pool and a fun pool with six water slides. There are also two kids’ pools − one indoors and one outdoors – as well as a tranquil indoor spa pool. Sun loungers line each pool, and you can head to the private beach where you’ll circular platforms with additional sun loungers and umbrellas just off the jetty.

The impressive, two-storey spa is the perfect place to focus on your wellness. It houses an authentic Turkish bath, sauna, steam bath, ozone sauna and hot tub, in addition to several treatment rooms and a beauty centre. The spa menu incorporates a range of massages (available for a supplement charge), ranging from Ayurveda treatments to traditional hammam foam massages.

The daily activities programme covers numerous sports activities, including water sports on the beach, mini-football, basketball, pool games and volleyball. You can also play tennis on one of the beachside courts, work out at the gym and enrol in multiple fitness classes, such as Pilates, CrossFit, Zumba, meditation, kickboxing and aqua spinning. The animation team also organises regular games and competitions, alongside shows, events and discos in the evening. Otherwise, where you can enjoy bowling, table football and the latest video games in the Bonus Game Room.

Elsewhere, the Calhippo kids’ club organises engaging activities for children over the age of 4 years. Kids and teens can enjoy supervised sports and craft activities, and the club features a game room, sleeping room, eating area, cinema and a large outdoor play area. Babysitting service is available for an extra charge. Families can also make use of the playground opposite the mini club, or head to the beach where they’ll find another playground with a shaded tent. 

Dining information

The Calista Luxury Resort presents a wide choice of dining options, covering a buffet venue, themed a la carte restaurants and various snack bars. The main restaurant, Bellum, offers a tempting selection of buffet-style dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all of which are inspired by Turkish and international cuisines. At lunchtime you can also head to The Garden to enjoy fresh snacks and salads, or you grab light bites and drinks poolside at the Turca Pool Snack restaurant.

Alternatively, you can visit Cafe Calista for cakes, sandwiches and hot drinks (not forgetting the traditional baklava treats) or stop by at Scoop for frozen treats and ice creams. At Carpo you can order refreshing summer fruits, while Gozleme serves delicious Turkish pancakes, which are ideal for a late breakfast or daytime snack. There’s also a popular food stand where you can enjoy ice creams, pancakes, hot dogs, hamburgers and traditional Turkish-style baked potatoes, known as kumpir. For sweet treats, head over to the Chocolate House, located by the lobby, for hand-made chocolate.

The hotel’s impressive a la carte offerings include an Italian-themed restaurant, a specialist seafood restaurant and Sakura Restaurant which serves Far East Asian cuisine. You can also savour Mediterranean flavours at the Garden restaurant, or try The Grill. Meals at Elegance Restaurant are complimentary for those staying in villas, but other guests can book a dining experience here for an additional charge. Those staying for seven nights or more have the option of dining at Timo, Garden and Sakura a la carte restaurants.

There’s an excellent selection of eight bars around the resort, too. This includes a pier bar, a poolside bar, a beach bar and a Vitamin bar in the spa. There’s also a sophisticated lobby bar with a piano, a colourful disco bar and an intimate jazz bar.
