Boston

As one of the world’s most famous seats of education and a culturally rich city steeped in history – Boston fully deserves its tag as the ‘Athens of America’. Magnificent architecture and glorious green parks enhance Boston’s abundant charm.

From the world’s oldest floating warship to the site of the legendary Boston Tea Party – New England’s unofficial capital is simply overflowing with historic heritage. Walk the red brick-lined Freedom Trail on city breaks and discover Boston’s pivotal role in shaping America’s history. Wander at your leisure along quaint cobbled streets, stopping to browse in museums, art galleries and chic boutiques. Or take a stroll through stunning Boston Common in autumn and gaze at the vibrant collage of colours that surrounds you. See the Red Sox in action at Fenway Park then mingle with the alumni of prestigious Harvard university while enjoying a pint of stout at a buzzing Irish pub.

Morbid Massachusetts

Morbid Massachusetts.

Since the Pilgrims landed in the new world, Massachusetts has seen its share of legendary ghosts, ghouls and witches – join them for a Halloween to remember. Starting with the Boston’s famous Ghosts and Gravestones tour, which throughout October puts the scare to locals and visitors alike, be shocked as you tour the old streets of Boston searching for historic murderers and listening to ghost stories. Then on 23 October, costumed families gather at the Boston Common Frog Pond to experience the massive collection of artfully and scarily-carved pumpkins at Pumpkin Fest. Just out of town, the Cirque of the Dead takes place in Cambridge’s Oberon on the 21 to 29 October. Expect spectacular scares and gruesome acts straight out of a horror film – definitely not for the fainthearted.
