While Bahrain’s nightlife doesn’t rival Dubai’s, the country nonetheless attracts visitors from neighbouring countries thanks to its more laid-back atmosphere and places to relax include the Al Areen Nature Reserve and the Adhari Water Park. Bahrain’s national museum and many forts show its thousands of years of history, while the 33 scattered islands of its archipelago are home to rare wildlife. Flights to Bahrain are also used by many travellers as a way of reaching eastern Saudi Arabia, including the nearby cities of Dammam and Khobar.
