To Shoot. To Serve.

Travellers flying with British Airways won’t have to miss a kick, serve or lap of sport this summer, as British Airways is showing special highlights of the football from Brazil, tennis Wimbledon championships and Formula 1 motor-racing events around the world, on hundreds of long-haul flights.

Football highlights from Brazil will be shown daily during the final stages of the tournament, and weekly during the group stages, on a number of British Airways long-haul flights during
June and July.

Tennis fans will be able to enjoy highlights of Wimbledon as soon as the next day, when London’s famous tennis championship returns on June 23 until July 6.

Petrol heads will also be able to tune in to special highlights shows following the British Grand Prix and the German Grand Prix in July.

Richard D’Cruze, British Airways’ in-flight entertainment manager, said: “Football, motorsports and tennis are some of the most loved sports – both nationally and internationally, and we are delighted to be able to bring the best action to passengers, so they don’t miss out.”

The highlights programmes will be available in the ‘Sport’ section of British Airways’ in-flight entertainment. The airline’s lounges will also be showing the action live for passengers travelling during this time.

British Airways features more than 130 movies, 650 TV shows from around the world and some 550 audio albums and 225 radio shows in its in-flight entertainment systems.

The airline has produced a Brazilian-Portuguese language guide with sports commentator Chris Kamara currently showing on all long-haul flights, as well as on the airline’s official YouTube page -
