More Mediterranean destinations than ever before will mark the start of British Airways’ biggest ever summer schedule at Gatwick next year when the airline starts five brand new routes to popular holiday hotspots in Greece, Turkey and Sardinia.
Sun-seekers can fly to Cagliari in Sardinia, Crete and Rhodes in Greece and Bodrum and Dalaman in Turkey from the end of April next year.
Over half a million seats will be available to customers throughout the Summer 2015 season, which will include services to Cagliari three times a week, to Crete four times a week, to Rhodes twice a week, to Bodrum twice a week and Dalaman four times a week.
Colm Lacy, British Airways’ head of commercial Gatwick said: “This is the biggest launch of new routes at Gatwick we’ve had for several years and is brilliant news for families and holiday-makers wanting to get away from it all for that all-important break to relax in the sun.
“We have grown our fleet at Gatwick, which means an even bigger choice of destinations and more value for money for summer holiday flights for British Airways customers.”
Customers have also been encouraged to fly with British Airways after the airline introduced new lower short-haul friendly hand-baggage only fares.
Now adding to the fantastic range of hand baggage only fares are those to the new Mediterranean destinations being launched next year, with one way fares to Cagliari in Sardinia starting from just £49, including all taxes and charges; £69 to Heraklion in Crete, £69 to Rhodes, £69 to Bodrum and £69 to Dalaman.
British Airways flights include free online check-in and seat selection 24 hours prior to departure, and in-flight refreshments.
Customers can also sample the highlife in the sky by booking into the airline’s Club Europe cabins, which offer refined in-flight dining, extra comfort and a generous 32kg two bag allowance for checked-in luggage.
