What you can do to prepare for bad weather

  • Check the status of your flight – do not leave for the airport if your flight is cancelled
  • Allow plenty of time to get to the airport – check the local news, weather and traffic reports
  • You must be checked in and through security no later than 35 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time of your flight.

Rebooking options if your flight does get cancelled

If your flight does get cancelled you will be able to:

  • rebook onto another British Airways flight at a later date at no extra charge and subject to availability

OR

  • cancel your booking and claim a refund to the original form of payment.

 

If your booking also includes any other BA flights that are not cancelled

You will be able to change these flights at the same time. 

 

If your booking includes a hotel, a car, a transfer or an experience booked in conjunction with a cancelled flight you will also be able to

  • rebook for travel at a later date. Rebookings are subject to availability and will be free of charge when rearranged on a like for like basis

OR

  • cancel your ground booking and claim a refund to the original form of payment.

You will need to call your Local British Airways office to make these changes.

If you booked through a travel agent, tour operator or online (but not on ba.com)

Please contact them directly.

 

If you made a flight only booking on ba.com or by calling a BA call centre

If you have a flight only booking you should receive notification of a flight cancellation which enables you to re-book yourself using Manage My Booking.

 

If you have booked ground arrangements such as a hotel or car through British Airways, with or without a flight

You will need to call your local British Airways office.

 

If you are unable to make changes yourself on ba.com

You will need to call your local British Airways office.
