Flying to Santiago from London

The flight will operate four days a week and will be served by the airline’s newest and most technologically advanced aircraft, the four-class Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The new aircraft accommodates 216 customers across four cabins, with 127 seats in World Traveller (economy), 39 seats in World Traveller Plus (premium economy), 42 full flat-bed seats in Club World (business), and eight suites in the First cabin.

Duration of your flight to Santiago

From 3 January 2017 British Airways will operate four flights a week leaving from London Heathrow (LHR) to Santiago, Chile. With a flight time of 14 hours 40 minutes, Santiago will become British Airway's lengthiest route.

British or other European Union member state passport holders do not require a visa to visit Chile for trips of under 90 days. However you must retain the Tourist card issued on arrival to present on your departure.

Located just 15km from the city centre, Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, also known as Santiago International Airport (SCL), is the largest and busiest gateway to Chile. With the main terminal constructed in 1994 a full range of airport facilities are available including banking, Duty Free, transport services and refreshments. The airport is a hub for onward flights to Oceania and domestic flights to destinations including Easter Island and Antofagasta are available.
