British Airways offers its customers daily flights from Hanover – Lower Saxony’s regional capital – to London Heathrow Terminal 1, one of the most important airports for international aviation. Heathrow is a gateway to London, a key European city for tourists and business travellers alike, and a hub for connecting flights to attractive destinations around the world. With a connecting time of 90 minutes to Terminal 5 you have access to more than 500 worldwide destinations of our global network.
The flights from Hanover to London and back were previously operated by the airline BMI, which has been taken over by British Airways’ parent company IAG (International Airlines Group). BA has now recoded the services and added them to its timetable. The premium airline operates flights to London Heathrow (Terminal 1) and back three times a day from Monday to Friday and twice a day on weekends.
Following the relaunch as part of the British Airways international route network, passengers on this leg will benefit from a number of new services.
Free catering for all customers on flights from and to Hanover will replace the paid-for service previously offered on this route. In addition to snacks, the range of refreshments will include a wide selection of wines, beers, spirits and cold soft drinks plus tea and coffee. This will bring the service in line with the Euro Traveller standard established in British Airways’ Economy Class on short-haul flights.
Passengers entitled to lounge access*) can relax in the Karl Jatho Lounge at Hanover Airport before their flight. The lounge is on the departures level between Terminal A and B of the airport. *) Passengers in BMI’s Flexible Economy class, Gold and Silver members of he British Airways Executive Club, members of BMI’s Diamond Club, and Emerald and Sapphire members of the oneworld frequent flyer programme.
In the near future, travellers will be able to enjoy a more enjoyable and convenient travel experience when they fly to or from Berlin with British Airways.
Berlin Tegel airport will close and all flights to and from Berlin will operate from the new airport, Berlin Brandenburg. Currently under construction, this high-tech airport will be conveniently located just two kilometres south of Berlin.
An Airport Shuttle express train will transport your travellers direct from a station underneath Berlin Brandenburg to Berlin city centre in just 20 minutes. There will also be direct motorway access with taxis and buses offering additional transport options to and from the airport.
The closure of Berlin Tegel and the existing airports around the city will mean that Berlin Brandenburg will become the sole airport for Berlin, which will ensure simpler onward connections for your travellers who are continuing their journey from Berlin.
Eligible British Airways customers can look forward to an especially warm welcome in the Hugo Junkers Lounge, the new luxurious lounge operated by Dusseldorf International Airport.
With space for 160 customers over 600m², this elegant lounge is located near departure gates B51/ B52 on the same level 2 in gate area B as the current British Airways lounge. It is just a short, three-minute walk from the British Airways departure gates, which will remain at gate B35 & B37.
