Things to do in Calgary

Once known mostly for its proximity to Canada’s top mountain resorts and its signature cowboy festival, Cowtown’s attractions and distractions have dramatically expanded and proliferated.

Urban activities such as fly-fishing on the Bow River and even taking in the mountain view from the glass-floored observation deck of the Calgary Tower and its upscale Sky 360 restaurant are must dos. There’s also browsing the high-street shops of Stephen Avenue Walk and Uptown 17th Avenue as well as picnicking at a summertime music festival in Prince’s Island Park.
