Fly with British Airways and enjoy award-winning service, excellent value for money and no hidden charges:
Fly direct to Warsaw with British Airways and explore one of Eastern Europe’s most underrated tourist destinations. Warsaw’s wide avenues and new skyscrapers give it a big city feel, but the Polish capital also has a peaceful side to it too.
Wander around the Neoclassical streets in its (inappropriately named) New Town district and discover beautiful parks surrounding the reconstructed baroque palaces at Wilanów and Łazienki. Its huge 19th century opera and ballet theatre is one of Eastern Europe’s best, while Warsaw has clusters of cosy bars in the back streets around the reconstructed old avenue at Nowy Świat. Warsaw flights are also a starting point for journeying further into Poland. Within a few hours of the city are the medieval university town of Torun, Białowieża Forest, a pristine woodland that’s home to Europe’s last bison, and Kraków, Poland’s immaculately preserved second city.
Flights to Warsaw from London Heathrow take 2 hours 20 minutes. Warsaw airport is located only 6 miles from the city centre, making onward travel by train or bus especially convenient.
When you fly with British Airways, you can choose a departure date that suits you and you’ll enjoy a safe and comfortable journey. Our cabin crew will be happy to help you with anything you need, so you can simply relax. Choose to fly with hand baggage only or pick a price that includes a 23kg checked baggage allowance and free seat selection 24 hours before you fly. From 11 January 2017 you can also buy delicious food from British food favourite M&S on board all flights flying from/to London Heathrow and London Gatwick. That means you can sit back, relax and enjoy the food you love from the British high street while in the air. For your convenience we will only accept credit/debit cards on board.
The short distance from Warsaw airport to the city centre is covered by an express train service lasting 25 minutes, as well as an express bus route. Warsaw currently has a single line metro, extending to two lines in late 2014, and an extensive tram and bus network.
Warsaw airport has several good restaurants and cafés, the best of which is arguably the canteen-style Sami Swoi, located after security, which serves traditional Polish dishes. For shopping, Keraniss (also after security) sells a wide variety of local products from Polish food to artisan cosmetics, while the airport’s public area has a typically Polish touch – a flower shop selling bouquets to present to arriving guests.
