Roam about in Rome, venture round Vienna or people watch in Munich’s Marienplatz with British Airways’ new day tripper tickets from Heathrow.
The highly competitive hand baggage only fares, from just £79 day return, mean an indulgent day trip is now within easy reach of budget travellers looking for a special day away.
From March 5, British Airways customers will be able to buy cheap day return fares to Dublin, Edinburgh, Geneva, Vienna, Munich and Rome on Saturdays and Sundays.
Richard Tams, British Airways’ head of UK&I sales said: “These new fares allow everyone to take a special day out, and enjoy an indulgent treat without breaking the bank.
“Now you’ll be able to shop ‘til you drop in Dublin, enjoy a leisurely lakeside stroll in Geneva or spent an afternoon exploring Munich’s city centre, all without the extra cost of having to pay for an overnight stay.”
Starting with six destinations, the airline intends to roll the fares out to more European cities, which have early morning and late evening flights from Heathrow, to ensure customers can enjoy the longest day possible.
Return tickets, including all taxes and charges will cost £79 to Dublin and Geneva, £89 for Edinburgh and Rome and £99 for Vienna and Munich. For further information or to book visit www.ba.com
