You may change your seat at any time, and pay the difference in price when applicable. If you change your seat to one of a lower price, we will not refund the difference.
If you change the route of your flight after reserving a seat, you must contact us to reassign your seat.
You cannot change your seat on flights which are marketed by another airline, and are operated by British Airways.
What happens when we change your seat?
We cannot guarantee that your seat is reserved because there may be an aircraft change for operational, safety or security reasons, even after you have boarded the aircraft.
If we have to change your seat, we will do our best to seat you in a suitable alternative. We will look to seat your group together in the first instance, and then your choice of window, middle or aisle seat, if possible. If you have paid for an exit row seat we will look to seat you in another exit row seat.
If we are unable to offer you a suitable alternative seat, you may apply for a refund.
Please note the circumstances under which we will not be able to refund you:
If you cancel your flight.
If you are upgraded by us.
If you are not suitable to sit in the seat type you have selected (according to CAA safety regulations) i.e. an exit row seat.
If you choose to change your flight, you will be entitled to choose an equivalent seat on your new flight. However if an equivalent seat is not available, the difference paid will be forfeited and will not be refunded.
If you are booked on another carrier marketed flight and change your flight you will not be entitled to choose an equivalent seat on the new flight and you will not be entitled to a refund.
