Walt Disney World Swan shares facilities with its sister hotel, Walt Disney World Dolphin, including six pools and four whirlpool spas.

The immense grotto pool covers three acres and its sprawling deck bursts with vibrant tropical plants. Enter a rock cave behind a tumbling waterfall and settle on a sunbed with a unique view of the buzzing pool area. Watch your kids gleefully fly down the twisting grotto slide and expect big smiles from little ones at the kiddie pool. Saunter over to either the spring pool or the relaxation pool for a calmer atmosphere. Practise your swimming strokes in one of the two lap pools. Laze on a hammock, recline on a sunbed or kick up powdery white sand in a game of volleyball on the beach. For a picturesque pastime, bask under the Floridian sun in a swan paddle boat – guests get complimentary rides.

Still got plenty of energy? Work up a sweat at The Swan Health Club’s state-of-the-art gym or perfect your swing at one of Disney’s golf courses. Spend an early morning taking in sweeping views of the lake on the jogging trail. Then make use of the hotel’s free transportation to the parks for high-energy days exploring Star Wars spaceships, world showcase pavilions and much more.

When you’re after some ‘you time’, walk to Walt Disney World Dolphin and indulge in the likes of a coconut poultice massage or an Asian bathing ritual at Mandara Spa. Also located in the sister hotel is Camp Dolphin, a fun-packed spot where children aged 5 to 12 can spend the evening getting stuck into crafts, games and a tasty meal. Meanwhile, you can enjoy a quiet dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.

Enjoy all-day dining at both Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin during your stay. Six signature dining venues offer a range of fare. Head to the award-winning Shula’s Steak House for a menu of prime steaks and extensive wine list. Stop by the AAA Four-Diamond certified, Todd English’s Bluezoo for fresh, coastal cuisine – featured dishes here include the indulgent two-pound Maine ‘Cantonese’ lobster. Dig into southern Italian specialties at Il Mulino New York Trattoria. Sit on a black leather chair beneath rustic wooden beams, surrounded by exposed red brick walls and unwind in the restaurant’s stylish surroundings. Expect plenty of pasta, pizza and fresh fish. You’ll find the sizzling flavours of Mexico at Rosa Mexicano and sensational sushi at Kimonos. You can watch chefs create dishes like delicate sushi rolls and tempura platters at the teakwood bar here. At Amare, a Mediterranean-inspired menu and refined regional wine list await.

Unwind poolside at the Cabana Bar and Beach Club. Open for lunch and dinner, this spot is perfect for grabbing a light bite or refreshing frozen cocktail. The fountain serves up sweet treats and snacks – order soft-serve ice cream, milkshakes, hearty sandwiches and salads here. Start your day in the sun-filled Garden Grove with breakfast beneath a 25-foot oak tree. Paper lanterns and fairy lights twinkle in the branches above you as you tuck into easy-going morning dishes. At lunchtime, sandwiches and salads are the menu’s main attractions. Sitting poolside, both Splash Pool Bar and Grill and Tangerine serve up handcrafted refreshments and small plates. There’s also Java, perfect for a quick fuel-up, Chill, brimming with frozen delights, Fuel, stocking a range of grab-and-go snacks and sandwiches, and Grounds, serving up craft coffee.

Order from a select menu of chilled beer and wine while you sink into plush leather seats at Shula’s Lounge. Sip classic cocktails at Il Mulino Lounge or sample sake and plum wine at Kimonos Lounge. Indulge in a frosty mug of Phins and Feathers beer or opt for the exclusive Smoke N’ Roses cocktails at Phins. The Rosa Mexicano Lounge serves frozen pomegranate margaritas, traditional tequilas and mezcals, while the lounge at Todd English’s Bluezoo offers champagne bubbles and specialty cordials. Classic cocktails and light bites can also be had at Stir.
