Overview

Loews Royal Pacific Resort pays homage to the exotic islands of Bali and Hawaii. Set within the Universal Orlando Resort, this South Pacific-themed hotel boasts lush tropical landscaping, enhanced by fragrant orchids and carved wooden adornments. There’s a Polynesian feel throughout, which extends to the impressive lagoon-style pool, sandy beach and accommodation. Multiple theme park benefits are also included with each stay.

Universal’s theme parks are easily accessible from Loews Royal Pacific Resort. A shaded walking pathway meanders past the lagoon and connects the hotel with Universal CityWalk, Universal Studios Florida (around three miles away) and Universal's Islands of Adventure (around half a mile away). Alternatively, you can take a water taxi to these destinations. Universal's Volcano Bay can be reach via a complimentary shuttle bus. While Orlando International Airport is just over 15 miles from the resort.

Rooms and suites seamlessly fit the tropical island theme. They feature Balinese patterned headboards, grey soft furnishings and light walls which are accented by bold prints of orchid or hibiscus flowers. Standard amenities include a Keurig coffee machine, mini-fridge, iPod docking station and quality cotton bed linens. Upgraded Club Level Rooms include access to the Royal Club Lounge – as well as cotton bathrobes, turndown service, and reduced prices for cabana rentals. There are also spacious suites available, including the Kids' Suites which have a fun Jurassic Park™ dinosaur theme.

When away from the theme parks, relax in the hotel’s large free-form pool or on the adjacent sandy beach. Lined with palm trees, the pool offers two hot tubs, private cabana rentals, a beach volleyball court and a water play area for children. Poolside games include ping pong, pool basketball and hula hooping. Come here on select evenings to enjoy the torch-lighting ceremony.

Other hotel facilities include an arcade games room and a kids’ club for children between the ages of 4 and 14 years old (charges apply). Health-conscious guests can visit the impressive fitness centre which has a steam room and sauna. Otherwise there are picturesque jogging and walking paths all around the resort.

At the concierge desk, purchase theme park tickets and organise car hires. There is no on-site spa, but you can access the Mandara Spa at the nearby sister property, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel.

Dining information

Islands Dining Room serves South Pacific-inspired cuisine for breakfast and dinner. Start the day here with signature Hawaiian pancakes or the Tahitian French toast, and indulge in dishes from the Pan Asian dinner menu in the evenings. Kids’ menus are available.

For lunch, enjoy classic bar food and drinks at Jake's American Bar or head to the poolside Bula Bar & Grille to savour tropical cocktails and light fare such as salads, tacos, nachos, and wraps. The nearby Bula Ice Bar opens seasonally and serves homemade ice creams and frozen smoothies. For something a bit more upmarket, visit the Orchid Court Lounge & Sushi Bar which presents a vibrant menu of handmade Japanese dishes and beverages such as sake and beer. The sophisticated atmosphere is enhanced by the handcrafted chandelier and large windows which offer 360-degree views of the tropical grounds.(Must be 21+ with valid photo ID to purchase and consume alcoholic beverages).

The convenient Tuk Tuk Market is a great option for those on the go. You can order coffee, pastries, ice creams and signature Tuk Tarts here – plus a variety of sandwiches, wok bowls and sushi dishes to take away. A relaxed seating area overlooks the luau pavilion.

A special Illumination’s Despicable Me Character and Wantilan Luau dinner experience are on offer for a supplement, and 24-room service is available.
