Overlooking the Mallorcan village of Puigpunyent. The hotel is set in the middle of the Tramuntana Mountain range, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Gran Hotel Son Net is set at the foot of the beautiful Galatzó Mountain and enjoys a unique position in the south-west corner of Mallorca, with wonderful scenery and beautiful sunsets. This historic estate dates back to 1672, with its beautiful patio and original well.

Dining information

• Oleum Restaurant - the main restaurant. The restaurant offers a stylish and intimate environment featuring a centrepiece period olive oil press that dates back to the 17th century. Offers innovative Mediterranean and Mallorcan dishes, applying modern techniques to locally sourced seasonal ingredients

• El Gazebo is the hotel’s informal outdoor restaurant, open during the summer months. Located near the pool, it offers a panoramic view over the island, overlooking the valley of Puigpunyent. Guests can enjoy a selection of fresh produce from the local market, cooked to order with fresh ingredients from Son Net’s own vegetable garden

• The Bar Son Net lounge features a range of art and antique furniture, and the Chimney Room has a large open wood burning fireplace for winter days. Enjoy hand crafted cocktails. In the summer and on fine winter days, bar service is also available on the outside terraces

• Under the shade of a five hundred year old Cyprus tree sits the pool bar El Mirador. Sample a tempting range of tropical milkshakes and ice creams

• In spring 2012, Son Net planted its own vineyard with the ancient, indigenous Malvasia grape, typical of the Tramuntana area. The ancient olive trees on the estate are all being recuperated so that the estate can make its own olive oil once again. In addition, the market garden is being extended and will be dedicated to the ecological growing of fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs for the hotel’s kitchen. Livestock has also been re-introduced with sheep grazing happily in the fields below the hotel and chickens laying fresh eggs for hotel guests
