The resort’s stunning infinity pool stretches out towards the ocean, backed by a wooden sundeck that’s lined with coral pink sun loungers and umbrellas. You’ll find additional sunbeds and cabanas along the beach, as well as bendy palm trees with hammocks.

Discover bliss at the Balance Wellness by Anantara, where you can enjoy a selection of spa treatments, including Ayurveda therapies, signature massages, body scrubs and couples’ treatments. The spa also features a nail salon, a steam room, a sauna and a relaxation garden with hot and cold plunge pools.

Elsewhere, you can work out at the fitness centre, take a yoga class, play tennis or try a multitude of water sports for a supplement charge − including surfing, kayaking, parasailing, sailing, jet skiing and water skiing. You can also book a range of PADI-certified dive courses and trips, or join unforgettable snorkelling excursions (additional charges apply). Alternatively, explore the resort’s offshore reef with complimentary snorkelling equipment from the Aquafanatics centre. In the evening, you can wind down to watch a movie under the stars. 

Dining information

The resort’s romantic restaurants and bars are set along the oceanfront or above the lagoon. You can enjoy an alfresco breakfast right on the beach at Cumin, which serves a la carte international breakfast classics, followed by authentic Italian specialties in the evening.

Meanwhile, the adults only Dhoni Bar serves all-day drinks and light snacks beside the pool. In the evening you can visit the resort’s signature Thai restaurant, Baan Huraa, or relish modern Japanese delicacies at Origami. You can also enjoy lunch or dinner at Sea.Fire.Salt, over at sister hotel Anantara Dhigu Resort and Spa. Here you'll find fresh seafood, prime cuts of meat and vegetarian dishes, above the Indian Ocean.

If you’re staying on a half board you can dine at Sea.Fire.Salt. and Baan Huraa and you'll receive USD 60 allowance per person. Or you can choose to dine at Fushi Café or Cumin, where some menu items incur additional charges (this will be indicated on the menu). Meals at Origami at Anantara Veli Maldives Resort, in-villa dining, and Dining by Design are not included in the meal plans. Half board meals comprise a three-course menu or buffet. Drinks, except for still water, are not included.

Please be aware that families with children, staying at neighbouring islands of Anantara Dhigu and Naladhu Private Island, can dine at Origami, Cumin speciality restaurant and Baan Huraa from 18.00 to 22:00.

A range of destination dining experiences are available for a supplementary charge, including private beach dinners, wine tasting sessions and in-villa dining. Plus, you can learn how to cook authentic Maldivian and Thai dishes at Spice Spoons, with step-by-step cooking lessons lead by an executive chef.
