Lava Beach Club is the resort’s central hub, offering poolside luxury and lively vibes on the weekend. There’s a large freeform pool – tiled in warm, orangey hues – in addition to six whirlpool tubs, a sunken pool bar and a raised DJ booth. Loungers are dotted all around the pool, on amphitheatre-style steps that overlook the Gulf of Oman. You can easily access the beach from here or dine at the local restaurant nearby. For a more exclusive experience, hire one of the five poolside chalets which are equipped with a TV, mini bar, bathroom and outdoor seating (available for a supplement).

If you’re looking to unwind, head to the second pool just for adults or to the relaxing facilities at the spa: a traditional hammam, a sauna and steam room and a fitness centre. You can also enjoy personal training sessions at the gym, as well as a variety of fitness classes, such as yoga, spin and aqua aerobics. Otherwise, head to the beach to try water sports (including jet skiing, kayaking and snorkelling) for a supplementary charge. For children, there’s an outdoor park and a splash pad play area. The Little Sailors Kids Club welcomes children between the ages of four and eight years old and offers a full programme of age-appropriate activities. Supervised activities include rock climbing, movie screenings, face painting and arts and crafts sessions. Kids (and adults) will also love Aqua Bounce – the hotel’s floating waterpark – which features an inflatable obstacle course of slides, monkey bars, bridges and a floating trampoline. 

Dining information

Canvas is the hotel’s all-day dining offering. Its buffet spreads are inspired by international flavours, and there are live cooking stations where you can watch your food being freshly prepared. If you enjoy seafood, don’t miss The Copper Lobster grill restaurant, which serves the freshest seafood and catch-of-the-day in a nautical-themed setting.

After relaxing by the pool or beach, take a trip to the nearby Lava Dining, which offers a combination of Mediterranean and Asian cuisines. Diners can expect a tempting selection of meats, local seafood, fresh salads and sushi dishes. For something lighter, head to the IAMMAI pool bar, or savour afternoon tea in the Arteasan Lounge. Arena Sports Bar & Kitchen is the perfect spot to enjoy live sports on the big screen, accompanied by drinks, bar snacks or popular European cuisine.
