This no-frills All Inclusive resort is situated around 12 miles from the island's capital, Bridgetown, located on St James Beach on the west coast of Barbados. It is a plantation style hotel, true to its original décor and has remained relatively unchanged since opening. It has a charming, relaxing atmosphere and lush tropical grounds. A good selection of bars and restaurants are all within walking distance of the hotel.
The accommodation comprises 85 rooms, 30 of which are beach front rooms with ocean views. The rooms are basic and a bit tired but feature a TV and air conditioning. The hotel's suites additionally enjoy satellite TV, a dressing room and a shower in the bathroom. The hotel is due to close in April 2020 for a full redevelopment so you may find that work on the rooms and facilities will be lessened between now and the closure.
Activities such as water skiing, snorkelling, scuba diving, golf and the games room are available and are all charged locally. There is also a beauty salon offering a range of treatments including massages. Additional services include a babysitting service.
Holetown, with its range of bars, restaurants and boutiques, including the Chattel Village shopping centre, is also nearby so plenty of options should you wish to dine in the local area. The airport is located approximately 15 miles away.
