Whistler-Blackcomb’s world famous reputation for ski holidays helps attract over two million visitors every year. A combination of extensive and varied terrain, long season, great snow and a diverse nightlife make Whistler-Blackcomb an excellent choice for a wide range of skiers.
The ski season in Whistler-Blackcomb stretches out as late as early May. Checking weather reports is recommended, especially later in the season, as even when there is rainfall at village level there may be snow at high altitude. The excellent snowmaking facilities also help extend the season at Whistler-Blackcomb. Everyone from beginner to advanced level will find challenging terrain across the many runs through Whistler. Although Whistler-Blackcomb itself is at quite a low altitude, the high summits of the two mountains are easily accessible. This means accessing great snow is easy, but village-level temperatures rarely drop below minus 10 Celsius.
