Situated on the north-east coast of Crete, this five-star resort is set over six acres of Mediterranean gardens within three Cretan-style villages. A perfect choice for couples and families; Kalimera Kriti features a wide variety of rooms, four outdoor pools including two children’s pools, a spa, gym and a range of bars and restaurants.
Kalimera Kriti is idyllically located on the outskirts of the quaint fishing village of Sissi, near to the Minoan Knossos Palace – dating back to 2000 BC. The resort itself is situated along a mile-long pristine sandy beach, with many enticing coves to explore – and the nearest shops and restaurants are only a kilometre away. You have access to two airports, the closest being Heraklion Airport which is 44 km from the hotel or Chania Airport, which is 189 km away.
The hotel offers a choice of accommodation types, which include deluxe, luxury and family rooms, bungalows and suites – they spread from the main building across the three bungalow villages. Each of the tastefully decorated guest rooms is air-conditioned and feature a minibar, complimentary Wi-Fi and a private balcony or terrace.
Kalimera Kriti offers an air-conditioned gym with cardio fitness training equipment, sauna and steam room, aerobics, football, mini-golf and yoga. There are four outdoor pools to enjoy including two children’s pools – as well as canoeing, kayaking, motorised water sports, pedalos and windsurfing. Little ones aged between 4 and 12 years can join the kids’ club, while adults have access to the spa – where you can relax in the sauna and steam room or book a massage treatment.
The main restaurant, Artemis, is a large buffet-style restaurant, located in the hotel’s main building. Enjoy a range of delicious international and local cuisine with stunning views over the Aegean Sea. The hotel also offers an a la carte restaurant, Dionysos, which serves authentic Cretan cuisine, a poolside snack bar, beach bar and a large hotel bar where you can enjoy occasional live music.
