Back to my desk and I'm looking at the impact of next season's schedule, which involves talking to other departments about their needs and concerns. One of the key things to decide is what size aircraft will be necessary on individual routes.

Forward planning is crucial in this role but you also need to take a look back so I'm taking a closer look at the performance of two routes last year. Working in Excel, I'm looking for anomalies in the data that may flag up future issues. Plus I'm analysing how much allowance we need to make for growth in the year ahead.
